Ladies and Gentlemen,

The eternal difficulties one has in trying to ensure an exclusive beneficial proprietary intellectual property advantage via the creation and maintenance of secrets rather than the pioneering sharing of novel superior overwhelming intelligence will always remain to blight one’s progress and result in inevitable defeat and eventual exfiltration of that which was thought and desired to be a secret. And in some cases the damage done to one is greatly multiplied whenever one discovers the secret one thought to be exclusive, and which was so jealously and zealously guarded, was long ago known to both the competition and the opposition.

Such is very much the nature of the worlds of today and tomorrow which are completely different places and spaces from any of those of yesterday.

And with the deeper, and oft darker knowledge that is being so quickly uncovered and discovered by so many today, just by virtue of them looking for answers to certain specific questions, …… and which incidentally do not actually need to be replied to, for such an omission can very well be all the admission needed that a vulnerability and weakness has been found, and is framed in the unanswered question, ….. it can easily be a fact that it is not a foreign power at play but a home grown source with a disturbing force able to be exercised.

The following nugget in reply to a recently reported hack is worth considering as being representative of nearly all of the major concerns that have been voiced in the article this comment is in reply to. ……. and the posit here is that such an intrusion and exfiltration is practically impossible to have any effective defence against ….. which must be certainly worrying to more than just a chosen few, methinks. However, it is the way it is, and that path can be easily followed with similar results replicated, albeit with them revealing the secrets held by others so targeted.

Is it possible for a foreign agency and/or a non USA citizen to be awarded a Department of Defence contract, via an OTA agreement or otherwise, for novel vital services which it might clearly need in order to ensure it is not critically and strategically disadvantaged by the absence of a particularly effective foreign technology/alien program/disruptive SCADASystem? Or are they by default, always expressly excluded and denied such opportunities thus rendering the USA extraordinarily vulnerable to that which is able to be offered to others and which delivers to them an incredible advantage in competition and opposition of others ?

Before we get any further into things, please define for the interested and ignorant masses alike out there and reading here,  exactly who is referred to in “our financial markets”, what “functioning properly and efficiently” looks like and is supposed to be doing, and what “making sure investors are protected” really means.

That would be extremely helpful and rid the field of a great deal of confusion which can all too easily lead to conflict and disruption, and even in extremis, ignite and fan the flames of something a great deal worse. Thank You.

I would certainly suggest such has been happening since as long as anyone can remember, tekHedd, and bumbling governments are well aware of it too and would even try to make full use of it to realise their own politically inept ends. Controlling it though is not within their ken or reach, nor are they able to command it to lead an ignorant undereducated electorate en masse in any particular favourite direction, although they sure do try.
