The arrogance and/or ignorance in not providing a correction for the public record, surely renders the existing public record entirely valid as a working perception. It is not as if the perception created is not ably supported by other information in the public realm thus rendering it then, if not said and a misquote, that which should have been said, loud and clear. Certainly the spinning of fabrications to support falsehoods destroys the credibility and capability of any SIS and delivers its leadership …….. well, wise and respected is not something which heads the queue of adjectives one would expect to be jostling for airing.
Dearlove surely doesn’t do God, does he, and Intelligence is always flawed in those who both would either deny or admit that they dabbled in such deluded thoughts as would haunt and tempt them with the possibility of the notion.

The only thing that Hillary has got near right, and even then she got that entirely wrong, is that Uncle Sam has lost the information war for control of hearts and minds. Her contention that Uncle Sam was losing, rather than admitting it had lost, being a misspeak which is just so her abiding weakness which she appears to imagine is one of her strengths.
Old dog, new tricks ….. springs immediately to mind, and the impossible likelihood of anything so fundamental being in her tired familial repertoire.

The bigger picture you are entirely missing, has got nothing to do with the world of Islam not wanting to see them enjoy the slightest success, it is all about refusing to be enslaved by fiat capitalism ….. with paper money and electronically credited/instantly transferred, artificial wealth.

Do you know if that sole inventor patent for refueling satellites in orbit, is an operational neuroscience process with Information Technology? Or would that be more likely something DARPA requires, if they don’t have it yet, although methinks IARPA rather than DARPA may be a more natural home for the discipline?

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly, Reader. They are a very practical convenience being cynically abused by the banking system and its psychotic leaders as a blunt means of inefficient control and artificial power.
The secret of success with currency is to ensure that there is a free flow of it, so that it can do its magic with its exchange and journey back to source, for the flow and magic to start all over again, time and time again.
The problem is in thinking that wealth is to be accumulated and stored, rather than spent to generate powerful flows of industry and commerce, growth and Intellectual Property development, so the real fools in the world are those who are constantly obscenely rich, and thus are denying the magic of currency to create bustling and innovative societies ….. brave new worlds.
