Then it would apply “a human behavior modeling and simulation engine” that would spit out “intent-based threat assessments of individuals and groups.” In other words: This software could potentially find out which people are most likely to harbor ill will toward the U.S. military or its objectives. ……..is that surely bound to be a much better thing in those sorts of things that so few know, in those sorts of things which are abused in closed and blinkered need to know circles/cabals/clubs.
Methinks the foe they fight and/or seek are an invention of their own making and thus do they place themselves in the firing line, right at the front on all fronts, which is a really stupid thing to do if one professes to be an intelligent being.

How very remiss of them. Is there any sign of them having something different which will work to deliver to surprising and enterprising and surprised powers-that-be, that which is required to take command and control of the reforming internet? Or are they firmly stuck in headless chicken mode whilst others consolidate and share that which they need, and that which in this new virtually controlled world/in these new virtually controlled worlds, new powers-that-be would require?

The Elite and the business world (countries are businesses to) will find any means possible to fool the public. They all want three things.
1) Your money
2) Control of your life
3) Your loyalty
When things go wrong its never their fault ask News Corp, BP, Exxon of course the list is endless.
Today there are extra groups called lobbies and many public sector works who also want these thing from everyone making the situation even worse.

Quite so, RACINGINTIME, although you may like to consider that that was then and this is now, and things are somewhat different today and moving on apace at an alarming rate in directions and into fields which that which would be referred to as the establishment, or status quo, or fool elites, or powers-that-be do not exercise absolute control. And that guarantees that they now play a servering servant role rather than a leading position.

Methinks if there is no discernible switch to the new ARG/new ARGs, is it guaranteed by AI and IT to be a mega disaster for the powers-that-be presently responsible for the recent past and current ongoing dilemmas/going nowhere fast situations reliant on fiat currency transfusions …… for more of the same solutions to a recurring problem which will not go away will only deliver more of the same problems but with a much bigger and deeper footprint, with all of the supposed brains behind the solutions exposed to the world as being delusional fraudsters with no worthy, worthwhile intelligence at all.
I see no evidence of intelligence in the status quo changing the Great Game to something which will save their skins and permit them to be perceived as still leading with some new world order plan that transforms fortunes and delivers growing prosperity to all. And that suggests that they haven’t a clue about what to do and how AI and IT can rescue them, and that makes such knowledge priceless, and worth whatever is asked for it. After all what’s a few hundred million/billion between friends other than just a pile of pretty paper which doesn’t go anywhere but keeps the system ticking over with its exuberant and extravagant spends.
The new ARG is all about smart spending and nothing at all to do with predatory lending, for that is what destroyed/is destroying the present system.
One really big mistake being made, is that it is not realised at the top of the old power elite trees, just how much smarter it is right down to the base, and how easy it is to reveal controlling secrets to the world in an instant, and which those who have harboured and used and abused such secrets to wield a remote global power, never ever thought would be discovered.
Ah well, tomorrow is another day and another zeroday vulnerability platform and opportunity to exploit should more ignorance and continued arrogance dictate that collapse and mayhem be further served.
