No, it doesn’t change a thing – any half-way competent IT Manager or Director will still be concerned about the service delivery, which is downstream of the actual systems hosting the service, and thus unaffected by the Emporer’s new clothes.

Of course, the business is stuffed full of IT Managers and Director who are not entirely competent, but that’s another article, by quite a long margin.
