If that were the case, why don’t we do £50trn of QE right now, then in a year or two transfer the £4.5 trn interest payment to the treasury in the same manner?

All debts and deficits will be cleared and we can all live like kings. In fact, if it’s so easy, why hold back? Do £1000trn of QE.

If there is a problem with the latter theory, then logically there’s also a problem with the former.
